Georgia secretary of state and GOP gubernatorial candidate Brian Kemp released the addresses and personal information of more than 290,000 people who voted by absentee ballot in the state.

An hour after people began noticing the information available on Georgia's official Secretary of State website, Kemp declared victory.

Journalist Molly Crabapple pointed out the release of the information, which was contained in a 40MB-size Microsoft Excel file posted to the GA Secretary of State's website.

"Kemp just doxxed every absentee ballot voter in Georgia," Crabapple tweeted. "He posted an excel file on a government site with their names, addresses, registration [numbers] and whether they are elderly or disabled."

The journalist added that "more than 290,000 people" were exposed.

Raw Story confirmed that the large Excel file published under a link on the Secretary of State's official Georgia government website did indeed contain the personal information of the state's absentee voters, including a column that listed whether the voters were elderly or disabled as part of their reason for asking for the ballots.

Roughly an hour after the spreadsheet with the absentee information was discovered, Kemp released a statement declaring victory over Democrat Stacey Abrams.
