How Non-Citizens Can Obtain Social Security Numbers:
Generally, non-citizens can only receive a Social Security number (SSN) if they have authorization to work in the U.S. from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Lawful Permanent Residents: Individuals who have been granted lawful permanent residence ("Green Card" holders) are eligible for Social Security numbers and cards.

Non-Citizens with Work Authorization: Those who are legally permitted to work in the U.S., even temporarily (e.g., on certain visas or with Employment Authorization Documents), can apply for and receive an SSN.

Non-Citizens Needing an SSN for Certain Public Benefits: Individuals who require a Social Security number for reasons other than employment, such as to access certain state or local benefits or food stamps, may also apply for and receive an SSN even if they are not authorized to work.

Asylum Seekers: Individuals who have applied for asylum can apply for work authorization, and therefore also apply for a Social Security number, even if they initially entered the U.S. without authorization. However, there is typically a waiting period of 150 days after the asylum application has been filed before they can apply for work authorization.

^^ That is the EXACT same answer WORD for WORD I got from Google AI a very Liberal leaning algorithm. So its probably a lot worst than the public is being told.

Sadly these Crayola Head nose pierced Karen's, specially the old one's like Elaine believe the Government is telling them the truth.

What the hell happened to us? People blindly believe without even searching anymore. Then the owners of the forums delete whatever they don't agree with, denying others to do their own research.
