Boomer Legacy. What? (iff Any?)
Boomers defined:
The demographic cohort born during the mid-20th century baby boom, with the generation typically defined as those born from 1946 to 1964
Baby boomers, often shortened to boomers, are the demographic cohort preceded by the Silent Generation and followed by Generation X.
So in the waning days of the Boomers, what will their legacy be?
What will they be remembered for.
Iff anything.
Art
Science
Peacemakers
Cancer curers
Climate heroes
Trips to Mars (moon trips faked)
...
In your opinions..
What were the great Boomer achievements and legacy.
(No wrong answers please)

RE: Boomer Legacy. What? (iff Any?)
Social change: Fighting for civil rights, women's rights, and gay rights
Cultural influence: Popularizing rock and folk music, and influencing attitudes toward drugs and sexuality
Economic growth: Contributing to strong economic growth and affordable housing markets
Technological innovation: Pioneering the expansion of radio, television, mobile phones, personal computers, and the Internet
Entrepreneurship: Founding new corporations and industries, including Apple and Microsoft
Volunteering: Creating an era of service and volunteering
Optimism: Raising their children with the idea that social change is possible
Political influence: Leaving their imprint on American politics and institutions
The baby boomers have also shaped the country's attitudes toward sexuality, drug use, and television programming. They have also influenced the country's attitudes toward social change and the possibility of changing social policies

^ This must be ~jami~
Well good, you make a very reasonable case.
Very thoughtful and sincere.
Good job!
My own response would have been limited to musicians and actors.
Writers (yourself excluded) not so much.
Social causes. That's interesting.
You must factor in technology for all things boomer, they certainly did mater media to their advantage, or disadvantage as in hanoi jane's case.
Warfare (more my specialty) not so much.
Not compared to the WW2s who are my favourite generation on many counts.
What other rubrics define generations?
It seems to be a fairly recent concept, defining generations.
Wonder if Jolly would weigh in on the Brit side of that?
The generation of Agincourt? Or Trafalgar?
Those times were identified by their leaders more than their populaces of any given time.
Its interesting to think about.
The WW2s and their progeny seem to be the only two 'generations' historically relevant!
Thanks for the constructive feedback!
